Make Money OnlineHi, my name is Kenneth Lee. I practice sincere blogging and I share my most honest reviews and thoughts. What goes around comes around - I believe the effort we put into building certain things will come back to determine the kind of outcome we deserve. This blog serves both make money online (left column) and personal (right) niches.

After having been penalised for six successive months, this blog finally got upgraded from PR0 to PR3.

And yes, an update just happened today, July 26, 2008.

Some webmasters/bloggers, however, started experiencing a change in their sites’ PR yesterday.

My blogger friend Daniel Liew said he had hoped for a 3 or 4 in this update, and now he finally can see an upgrade from N/A (his blog is only several months old) to PR4, which is very impressive. Congrats Dan.

To those whose blog/website just got upgraded, keep up the good job; and to those whose PR remains unchanged or just got smacked, don’t give up!

I heard it is around the corner! The last time the update took place it was April 31 and May 1.

And predictions have it that a new update will begin early August this year. I’m excited and worried all at once as I hope my website can gain back its original PR3.

Previously I wrote a total of 14 paid posts and got penalised by Google God. And it is doing more harm than good to me.

I have since a couple of months ago stopped writing paid posts. A few days ago, I even had all the paid posts deleted.

So my heartful advice is not to write paid posts. :)

Universiti Tak Ada Reha… um, I mean Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) recently changed the name of my faculty from “Faculty of Arts and Social Science” to “Facultuy of Creative Industries” (FCI).

As creative as the name suggests,

but why the hell is it called FCI ar?

The Media Studies in Universiti Malaya is placed under FAS; degree programme of Communication in Universiti Putra Malaysia is in the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication; in Universiti Sains Malaysia, Journalism is put under The School of Communication.

So why is the course of Journalism, or any mass communication courses, all under the FCI in UTAR? Unless UTAR has modelled some of the concepts from universities overseas, including Queensland University of Technology and University of Portsmouth.

Personally, I don’t like the new name. It falsifiably reminds me that I’m studying Fashion or Graphics Design, which sounds perfectly entertainment-oriented as opposed to the serious connotation of my course.

But it’s ok. I will keep reminding myself that quality of academics is what matters, and I’m still proud of the academic standards of UTAR as for now.

On another related matter, UTAR has recently revamped its official website. It looks so damn much better now although at first glimpse, I thought I had accidentally click into the website of a foreign university.

p/s: I don’t know why I have the tendency to blog about my uni everytime I update my blog in the campus lab. Maybe I should do a thesis to confirm the correlation between how blog contents are determined and the environments these bloggers live in. Ha!
