Hi, my name is Kenneth Lee. I practice sincere blogging and I share my most honest reviews and thoughts. What goes around comes around - I believe the effort we put into building certain things will come back to determine the kind of outcome we deserve. This blog serves both make money online (left column) and personal (right) niches. |
Finally!
Daniel suggested me putting the
Merdeka logo on the background of my blog but I went a step further to put it on the header instead.
Suddenly I feel very patriotic again. I designed the header full-heartedly and hope this will be able to compensate my procrastination in showing some Merdeka affection.
Wish upon a better tomorrow. Happy Merdeka!

Three more days to Independence Day! Wasn’t even aware of this until a couple of days or so.
Can’t blame it on me. With political chaos that has visibly plagued Malaysia since last year, it is no surprising the spirit of patriotism has been overshadowed by a sense of (political) uncertainty and the need to recover from post-crisis reactions to petrol price hike and inflation, among others.
Time passes so fast. It feels like yesterday when I attended the
50th Merdeka celebration. Really miss those moments during
The Star internship days lah!
Anyway, I was digging out the blog header I used in conjunction with last year’s Merdeka month to see how far I have gone with this blog.
Haha, a bit of narcissism back then but super patriotic!

Without any surprise, Malaysiakini is reporting that Anwar has unofficially won with a majority of 16,210 votes against Arif Shah in the Permatang Pauh by-election.
While the wind of change has been exemplified in the March 8 general election, Anwar’s second wave of political triumph this year does not guarantee a more democratic society.
Rumors have it that the government is preparing to arrest Anwar
very soon and this is based on what I read
here. Of course its falsehood cannot be ruled out, so my advice is to
never take it seriously.
Second of all, Raja Petra’s alternative news portal
Malaysia Today has been reportedly blocked by Streamyx at DNS level, so if you would like to access the website, either you can try
this link or use a web proxy.
Besides,
The Malaysian Insider also reports that the government’s next task is to
crack down on bloggers. This is contrary to the Communications and Multimedia Bill passed a year ago that stipulated the
government would not censor the Internet in order to facilitate the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) project.
The MSC project is supposed to help transform Malaysia into an information society by 2010.
