The photo that shows famous money blogger Jeremy Schoemaker holding a Google cheque is being misused in an advertisement for the Google Money Tree system according to the blogger himself.

Scam ad as promoted on Huffington post.
Jeremy says the Google Money Tree system is one of the biggest online scams. The advertisement that features his photo has been seen to appear on big sites like huffingtonpost.com, espn.com, myspace.com and foxnews.com.

Scam ad as promoted on Fox.
Jeremy is obviously pissed off as these scammers are using the goodwill of his blog to promote their activity. He says he wants “to be very clear we are not associated with this trash.”
I hope my photos will never be used in activities like this. Or maybe not. Scammers don’t quite like to use photos of some scummer like me for monetary purposes lah. They go for handsomer and more prominent people like…

I’ve been blogging for four years now. Previously I have been blogging from A to Z and the scope of coverage was very wide.
It was only until recently that I feel blogging about everything is no longer relevant for this site — it has got to have a niche as paradigm shift is taking place as far as Web content and reading behavior are concerned.
The trend of social progress has always been more or less the same: mass production followed by nicheness.
For instance, we used to have mass vehicle production, but as vehicles have become common, manufacturers go for nicheness by service customers in specialised areas. Customers in turn get to choose the colour that they like and so forth.
They are now the kings and queens. If they are not happy, the move on to look for others who can provide them with the best.
Writing like Kenny Sia might still work for some, but will soon lose its momentum and relevance a few months down the road.

Like the blog title suggests, the direction of this blog is slowly skewed towards money-making ideas and technology.
I admit that commercialisation of this blog sounds bad, especially when this blog wasn’t first started off as a money blog. Choosing to blog on money and technology is also a very challenging task because there are an abundance blogs like this out there.
BUT, I am trying to incorporate less heavy topics, such as personal life and experience, into the blog posts wherever relevant. In other words, this blog is using a more relaxing approach in delivering updates.
If you haven’t already noticed, I have tried putting technical terms in a way understandable to readers at large. Some might not know what RSS is, but if I am able to explain to my readers what it is without having to make them think too much, my objective is achieved. And that is what MrDefinite.com is trying to sell.
Such a change in blog direction is going to make me lose some readers for sure, but it is certainly going to gain me some readers at the same time.
The first phrase aims at increasing its direct and RSS traffic; monetisation then follows next. You know very well that when there is no traffic, there is no income or conversion.
Starting Jan 1, 2009, MrDefinite.com will officially start its new direction. Have a belated merry Christmas everyone!
