Following my first Adsense payout in June 2008, I was issued my second payment last month. I only managed to claim it today.

Although it took me one year to make USD121, it was considered fast considering this blog only began gaining momentum after changing from a personal blog to a “make money online” cum personal blog in January this year.

Now I can use my Adsense earnings to compensate my rental! It feels good not to have to rely on parents for financial aid anymore.

As usual, I opted for Western Union for the money transfer and this time I ended up at Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) to conduct transfer (Public Bank’s Western Union money transfer system was down today).

Exchange rate is 3.49 today, which is higher than the first time I got my payment. Exchange rate was only around 3.2 then.

Definitely not a lot, but is enough for me to cover some of my monthly expenses.

Frankly speaking, I haven’t been 100% serious in making money online as I am thronged with other commitments like my studies and so forth. However, I see this is a pastime and something that is fun doing.

I may not be John Chow, but I’m satisfied with the direction this blog is heading!
