How to Increase Your Conversion Rate with the Help of Landing Pages?

This is a guest post by Gagandeep Singh.
There are million of online entrepreneurs, and you can easily get lost in this huge crowd if you don’t have an outstanding landing page. A well-designed lead capture page helps you to trap in all the traffic coming in from the search engines.
Additionally, it also helps you overcome intense competition and sell your products rapidly. Unlike a website where the visitor might lose his way, this unique webpage keeps the prospect focused and instigates him to buy the product.
Here are a few tips by which you can increase the conversion rate through your landing page:
  1. You already know your target market inside out. You also know about the problems and requirements of the customers. To increase the conversion rate, make sure that your landing page clearly states how your products can alleviate all the problems of the prospect.
  2. You get only 8-seconds to grab the attention of the visitor and the headline of your lead capture page is the first thing that he sees. Spare on effort to make the headline gripping and compelling. Additionally, the headline should make the prospect feel that he has finally reached the right place.
  3. The opening paragraph should be equally mesmerising. On the one hand, it should compel the visitor to keep on reading, and on the other hand, it should give his a fair idea of what the entire message is all about.
  4. It’s true that search engine bring in loads of traffic to your landing page, but if you do not provide requisite information, all the traffic will drain away as quickly as it came. In order to ensure that people stay on your webpage for a while as well as take action, make the contents relevant and concise. Provide all the essential information about your product, remove the irrelevant text, and eradicate each and every spelling, typological and grammatical error.
  5. Apart from describing the features of your product, talk about its benefits. This will serve to convince the prospect that the product will certainly help him in more than one way. Thereafter, he will surely take desired action.
  6. Testimonials also help to increase the conversion rate. Together with the advantages of the product, they help to instill confidence in the prospect. They make him believe that if so many people can benefit from the product, he can also do same by buying it.
  7. The call to action shouldn’t ask for a commitment like “Buy Now” or “Add to Cart”. These words will turn off the visitor. Instead word as “Try me Now” infuse trust and persuade the visitor to take action.
  8. When you sell online, consumers are unable to touch and feel the product, and you don’t get the opportunity to converse with them face-to-face. For this reason, brand name and security icons play an important role in increasing the conversion rate. Symbols like VeriSign and eTrust logo immediately increase the confidence level as well as encourage the visitor to take a positive action.

How I Made RM423.16 Online

Posted by Kenneth "Definite" Lee on Sep 01, 2009

Many are asking how I managed to make those RM423.16 from Adsense. Well, frankly speaking, the amount is not a lot.
Because a lot of bloggers out there are earning way more significant amount than I do, simply because they are versatile (whereby I’m less so) and they pour in a lot of effort in making money online.
To make the amount of money I’m making right now (again it is not a lot, but it is definitely an improvement from before), I have come to realisation that traffic is essential.

No traffic, there will be no conversion whatsoever.

But how to get traffic, you may ask.
As for me, most of my traffic comes from Google search engine, therefore I gotta credit Google for this. A search on the key phrase “make money online” allows you to see that MrDefinite.com is ranking on top of the search engine results page (SERP), which explains why this site has over 300 unique visitors each day.
In order to have a high volume of traffic, the challenge is to push up the ranking of your site to the top of SERP for a certain keyword or keyphrase. But how do we do so?
Like I have mentioned, “make money online” is the main key phrase that MrDefinite.com is adopting in determining the term of which the site is ranked for.
In other words, a lot of relevant sites are needed to give a backlink to MrDefinite.com with the anchor text “make money online“. By relevant sites, it refers to sites that contain or blog on similar topic.
Having a backlink from any website, especially one that is dofollow-enabled, will contribute to what is known as the “link juice”. The more link juice, the easier to beat your competitors for rankings in Google.
