iTalkWhoa – Malaysia’s Skype and Better

Just tried out the new TM iTalkWhoa and it’s seriously like…

Whoa!

Just signing up the service alone entitles me to getting FREE RM5 credit. And JacJac happily sent me this to try out the service:

So when I topped up my iTalkWhoa account…
italkwhoa-topup2.jpg
I got total credit of RM34.50 leh!
50 cents have been deducted, which I think could have been lesser. Nevertheless with over RM30 of talk time, which includes the free RM5 upon registration, I’m already a satisfied consumer!
The first thing I did was a total noob job — sending an SMS to myself just to be sure it works, haha!

The SMS arrived ten minutes later, on my 80′s phone. My brother said throwing my Nokia 2100 at crabs will definitely make them scream!

It’s a little lag but iTalkWhoa is probably on a trial run right now so I guess they will have to work on the shortcoming pretty soon.
And this is how making a call to mobile or house phones looks like:

Isn’t it very user-friendly?

The last time I checked, the service allows us to call to as many as 79 countries loh! Calling to Poland only costs RM0.01 per minute, which is really cheap.
The complimentary talk time definitely comes in handy as I get to get in touch with my Cambodian friends whom I will see when I travel there later this year!

With Cambodian friends Buntha and Rachana.
And other functions of iTalkWhoa totally include…

Twitter

Now twitting is much more convenient than before. When everything takes place in a single platform, you know you’re catching up with the new era of technological convergence.

Calendar

Can’t believe I’m so much consultation this week. Super exhausting!
Syiok or not?
It’s totally a combo of everything you need to have in your office or bedroom — from work reminder to calls and sms functions to Twitter application.
