Top 5 Advantages of Email Marketing

This is a guest post by John K. Taylor.

As Iphones, Ipads, Smart Phones, Tablets and Blackberries invade our handbags and briefcases in ever increasing numbers, we’re beginning to live in a constantly wired world where one of the most immediate and reliable ways of contacting anyone is via their email address.

How can the popularity of portable and hand-held email supporting devices work for your company? Let’s take a look at the top 5 advantages of email marketing strategies:

1. Global

The beauty of an email is that these days it can literally reach anyone, anywhere, anytime. If your customers are on a long-haul flight or at the beach house for the weekend, they definitely won’t be checking their letter boxes or home phone answering services but they will most likely be finding a way to stay on top of their inboxes.

Email is one of the most guaranteed methods of getting your message across in an immediate and reliable way.

2. Fast

There’s a reason that regular mail is called “snail mail”. Email is not only quicker to send and to arrive at its destination than notices sent in the post, but the response time of recipients is also accelerated.

Most people will respond to an email within three days – perhaps even less than the amount of time it could take your letter to reach them in the first place if sent by post.

3. Personal

Email marketing packages allow for the modification of communications to customers according to the nature of your company and products as well as to appeal specifically and personally to each customer.

For example, form emails can easily be modified to address customers by name, making them feel acknowledged as valued clients and thus increasing their loyalty to your company.

4. Interactive

Unlike paper mail-outs, email communication can be prepared in the form of a highly interactive experience including high quality graphics, video clips, quizzes, competitions, additional links and forwarding capabilities meaning that your message may reach more people than you had ever anticipated.

5. Economical

Once you have implemented email communication in your marketing plan you will not only save costs usually expended on printing, packaging and posting mail-outs but also reduce time spent on mail room processes and expenditure on associated resources.

Should you have something more to add to this list of advantages we have using email marketing, please share in the comments section below.

12 Ways to Make Extra Money

Need some ways to help make some extra money? Are you struggling to make payments and look for some alternative ways to increase revenue each month?

These ideas will help you get ahead on debt, or give you extra breathing room each month.

  1. Pet sit and charge a flat rate. Use Craigslist and local newspapers to easily advertise and charge a flat fee per hour (or daily/weekly).
  2. Walk dogs for people. This would be more in demand within higher populated areas. A lot of people don’t have time to walk their dogs everyday, and would be willing to let you walk them for a reasonable price.
  3. Sell stuff on Ebay. Setting up an account with eBay is very easy, and you can sell
“junk” around the house to put some extra money in your pocket.
  4. Get a part time job. Find a job waiting tables, or find some part time work. Craigslist will have a lot of local listing, go to [part time] tab to see who’s searching for employees in your area.
  5. Babysit. If you have any experience with children, babysitting can generate a good amount of money. I know people that will pay $10 an hour just to sit and watch movies with their kids.
  6. Start Blogging. Blogging can generate revenue, and can be easily set up with sites such as Blogger. Once you have a blog set up, you can monetize it with AdSense to start earning money.
  7. Take online surveys. There are many sites out there that will pay for simple clicks of the mouse. Companies will pay these sites to extract information from the public, and these sites will in turn pay you.
  8. Clean homes. Use Craigslist or other local sites to search for people needing their house cleaned. If you can’t find anything, advertise that you will sell your cleaning services at a flat fee.
  9. Offer to tutor . Are you knowledgeable on any topics? If your good at math, advertise to help tutoring for a fee. There are many students out there that are struggling, and need all the help they can get.
  10. Do yard work. Advertise to help people out with yard work. There are companies out there that charge a high price to keep a yard maintained. Charge a lower price for some easy work.
  11. Donate plasma. Find a company such as DCI Plasma that will pay you for donating plasma. They offer an extra incentive for your first time as well.
  12. Rent out an extra room. If you have an extra room in your house, rent it out! You can get income every month from your tenant paying rent. It’s a great way to help pay off your mortgage or use it for other things.
