Malaysian Facebook Mobile App May 2012 Update

While Facebook has updated its mobile application a week ago (as reported here and here), some of my friends who are iPhone users were only beginning to see the interface change this week.

With the latest Facebook mobile application update, display of pictures on the mobile application has become bigger (three times bigger!), and each update is also presented beautifully and tidily in its own cubicle.

This update reportedly comes right after Facebook bought over the now-popular Instagram for USD1 billion.

As for Facebook for Android however, update has also taken place simultaneously but unfortunately there isn’t much change yet.

Hopefully Facebook could introduce the change of interface on the iOS version to Facebook for Android!

Malaysian Facebook Mobile App May 2012 Update

The new iPad that comes with a 4G version has been renamed to “iPad WiFi + Cellular” instead of “iPad WiFi + 4G”.

All this while, the 4G term has always caused confusion among its fans, who perceived it as LTE, WiMAX, HSPA+, and various frequencies.

The renaming of the new iPad with 4G is seen as a wise move from Apple to eliminate such confusion.

The 4G LTE band, however, is currently not available in Malaysia yet.
