Are you the proud owner of an Android tablet? If yes, I understand that you would have shelled out most of your money on the gadget. Owning an Android gadget and rummaging through the new features is interesting.
But sadly, most of the times you find it difficult to handle a feature or perform a function on the touch screen. A friend of mine is good at handling devices, but she cannot type messages on the touch screen.
Similarly, some of you might face various problems. Android apps come to your rescue by helping you perform even the simplest of tasks. Today, let’s discuss a few of the free apps that are provided by Android:
IMDb “Internet Movie Database”
This is a TV and Movies app which provides a wide range of information on TV series, movies, production credits, directors, actors and more. If you are a keen movie watcher who would like to have first hand information on the entire cast and crew of a movie, highlights of the movie, trailers or others, the IMDb app is a must-have on your phone.
You will also receive a list of the latest blockbuster movies in town. If you have this app, it is hard for you to miss any of the advancements in Hollywood.
Popularity is always accompanied by some risk factors. Android OS devices are at high risk to be infected by malware. Apps in the Google Store and the “common-sense caution” feature will help you overcome the malware infection to a great extent.
However, you can take that extra step by relying on a few security suites which reduce even the slightest chance of malware infection. Avast is one of the best security packages available in the market. Two important things which attract people towards Avast are its user-friendly interface and cost-free system.
Music lovers must be well aware of this app. This is the most popular music streaming app which enables you to create a new personalized station. You can have this station play only your favorite music collections.
If you are a die-hard fan of a particular artist or music director or composer, just enter their names in Pandora and sit back. The Pandora app works to create a station based on the criteria mentioned. Using this app, you can listen to only your favorite music at all times.
Do you remember the app “Read It Later”? Well, Pocket is the rebranded version of this app. It has been rightly named as Pocket referring to its usage.
Pocket serves the purpose and is a valuable app in the market. You might find some interesting things online like article, blog, image or video. You might be in a position where you are unable to read or view at the moment.
With this app, you can save your favorite items and then get back to them at your leisure time. Pocket app automatically syncs with devices like tablets, desktops and phones so that the stored items can be viewed from any of these gadgets. Even if you do not have access to internet, you can still view or read the details!
This app is a virtual Keyboard, which lets your fingers play around the keyboard. The Swype Beta app uses a unique method that enables customers to pause at letters which they like to use, and also glide over keys to spell a word.
This app uses the beta technology but surprisingly, it works at a faster rate. The capabilities and features it carries are user-friendly and expected to have drastic improvements as the app becomes more popular. Those of you who love to play with words can use this app in your Android phones.
Among the thousands of apps available in the Android app store, these five have gained importance in this list owing to their unique capabilities. Several other apps which perform similar functions fail to satisfy the requirements of the customer. Whereas, the above listed apps perform with utmost perfection, satisfying your needs.
These apps have their own specializations which allow you to enjoy your Android gadget every time you use it. Right from providing security up to giving details about entertainment the Android app store has apps, making your life interesting in this fast paced world.
