Traffic is the key for conversion. I have always said, “No traffic, no conversion”. But how to get crazy traffic? Twiends may be your answer.

It works for some people, but not everyone.

twiends

A lot of my friends have jumped on the bandwagon and experimented with Twiends. Some have witnessed its potential.

Just a summary on how Twiends works.

When you sign up, you will be given an “X” amount of “seeds” – the credits used on Twiends.

The most seeds you got, the better it is!

When someone likes your Facebook fan page, or subscribe to your Youtube channel, you will lose 1 seed. If someone follows you on Twitter, you lose 2 seeds.

Two ways to get gain your credits:

  1. If you liked a Facebook fanpage, or subscribe to someone’s Youtube channel, or follows someone on Twitter, you gain some seeds
  2. You purchase seeds

To put it short, you use credit to incentivise traffic.

However there is something to ponder for a service like this:

Traffic like such maybe from real people, but it does not necessarily convert to action. Chances are that people may follow you for the sake of getting credit and nothing more.

6 Effective Ways to Increase Website Traffic

To increase traffic to your website, it’s important to know the available tools and act upon the most effective strategies. Your main objective is to let people know that your website exists, and that it’s worth visiting.

It may take time and effort but it will all be worth it as you reap the rewards of higher website traffic.

1. Get people to know about your website whenever possible.

Design your email signature to provide a link to your website, so that every time you send an email, people may click on your link and visit your site.

Post insightful comments on online forums with links at the bottom. You can also enlist your website in trading and professional sites.

2. Use social networking sites.

Social networking sites are great ways for people to know about your website. Maximise the available tools to generate more interest and awareness of your website: tagging friends, creating events, creating a fanpage, etc.

3. Contribute to websites with open article submissions.

This will help establish your website’s reputability and expertise. Be updated about current issues discussed and write about them. Stick to writing articles within your field of expertise. Provide a link to your website at the end of your article.

4. Ask friends to provide links to your website.

This works because every time a user visits your friends’ website, they are prompted to visit your site as well.

5. Create keyword-rich articles.

Write keyword-rich articles, especially at the first paragraph. Don’t overdo it though; otherwise your article might be marked by search engines as spam. Writing meta-tags is also a plus.

6. Include services and tutorials.

There’s better chance of a regular stream of visitors if your website content is truly informative and helpful. If you can, include video tutorials and step-by-step and illustrated how-to’s. Update your website regularly.
