The unit I moved into was a total mess!
KNNBCCB!
First there were so many outstanding bills, all of which I had to settle on my own even though it involved those staying in the unit before I moved in. Some people — my roommate for instance — is just as ignorant as Ringo and would show you this “don’t ask me I don’t know how to fix that” kinda face.
The other day, some housemate was ironing his/her clothes while I was happily doing my stuff on my laptop.
Out of a sudden, the switch tripped.
Blackout.
…
ZOMG I FORGOT TO SAVE MY WORK!
And it had to ridiculously take me a few seconds to realise what just happened! I asked why it happened and that suey chi (whoever it was) said it was because of the semi-faulty iron.
The plate had almost detached itself from the rest of the iron and every time someone accidentally holds it up, the loosened wires inside will end up touching the wrong place and causing the circuit to trip.
I mean, got faulty iron also never tell!
What if I die of electric shock one day for using the faulty iron?! Who’s going to be responsible then?
Pissed to the max!
Pissed at myself for not slotting in my laptop battery and most importantly at those keh kiangs who have only half a bird’s brain and zero awareness on proper home maintenance.
I hate it when people keep faulty stuff that poses so much danger in order to remain as ignorant as always, or just so that they can save some unnecessary bucks.
Like, come on — is it so difficult to be a little less apathetic?
BTW, I’m so gonna talk them into some of these bathroom organisation products. If they are so lazy to deal with it, gimme the share of money and I’ll buy it conveniently online for everyone!
p/s: Do check out the amount of accumulated sweepings (originally twice the amount as you can see in the picture) my housemates had welcomed me with when I moved in.

And that is how University students are like these days!
p/s: Very impressed with this steam mop thingie. Not planning on buying it lah, just found it interesting! Shopwiki has just an abundance of info!

You’re wrong, Catea. 老人家 will not marah-marah, they are more patient. Youngsters like me marah-marah.

nice post, i think a lot of people love living with roommates, but it gets old and it’s because of stories like this.
